General
The air quality sensor (1) detects the concentration of the following pollutants in the outside air:
- Carbon monoxide (CO)
- Nitrogen oxides (NOx )
The air quality sensor (1) is attached to a holder in the air/water duct.
Function requirements
- Circuit 15 on
- Climate control switched on
Function
The air quality sensor (1) is a NOx sensor that measures the nitrogen oxide and oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas and sends the signal to the front signal acquisition and actuation module control unit.
The front signal acquisition and actuation module control unit forwards the signal to the upper or lower control panel control unit depending on the model and equipment installed.
The upper or lower control panel control unit is finally connected to the control for climate control via LIN.
The control for climate control regulates the pollutant-controlled air-recirculation mode based on this.
