Limp-Home Mode, Basic Function - GF27.60-P-9900A

Overview 

This document contains information on:

General 

The fully integrated Transmission control electrohydraulic controller unit or the dual-clutch Transmission control unit switches to the limp-home mode when individual components malfunction.

Function 

The dual-clutch Transmission control unit or the fully integrated Transmission control electrohydraulic controller unit uses sensors to monitor the status of the Transmission control, using e.g. pressure and temperature sensors. If a shifting-relevant component part is defective or if it can no longer be actuated, the corresponding sub- Transmission is no longer available. The driver is notified of a malfunction visually and acoustically on the instrument cluster. Shifting comfort is restricted or driving is no longer possible.
