| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Remove left or right front wheel and tire assembly. | AR40.10-P-1102ME | |
| 2 | Loosen counternut (2) on inner tie rod (1). | Always counterhold the tie rod (3). Otherwise, the tie rod (3) will be damaged. |

| 3 | Remove nut (5). | The ball head must be counterheld and an impact wrench/driver must not be used. Otherwise, the ball head or steering knuckle (6) will be damaged. |

| 4 | Detach tie rod (3) from steering knuckle (6). | ||
| Do not damage seal bellows (4) when removing. Otherwise, the tie rod (3) will have to be replaced. |

| 5 | Remove tie rod (3) from inner tie rod (1). | ||
| 6 | Install in the reverse order | ||
