General 

The function description of the drive authorization/security system discusses functions for unlocking/locking the central locking system as well as functions for enabling drive authorization. Comfort functions, such as the convenience feature that facilitates the automatic opening and closing of the side windows and the sliding sunroof or the remote trunk closing, are also included. The anti-theft alarm system functions are also described.

Function 

Central locking system, basic function 

The basic function of the central locking system refers to the locking/unlocking of the vehicle interior and fuel tank/socket flap.

Drive authorization system, basic function 

The drive authorization system ensures that the vehicle can only be unlocked and started with a valid access authorization code.

Convenience feature, basic function 

The convenience feature includes the functions "convenience opening" and "convenience closing".

Anti-theft alarm system, basic function 

The anti-theft alarm system monitors the status of all alarm inputs after the locking of the vehicle via the central locking system.
