- Carry out the data link diagnostics test.
- Is system passed obtained?
Yes

Test passed. RETURN to the SYMPTOM CHART for the module in question.

No

If universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART)-based protocol (UBP) circuit fault; all electronic control units no response/not equipped, Go To PINPOINT TEST M: NO UNIVERSAL ASYNCHRONOUS RECEIVER-TRANSMITTER (UART)-BASED PROTOCOL (UBP) NETWORK COMMUNICATION .

If international standards organization (ISO) circuit fault; all electronic control units no response/not equipped, Go To PINPOINT TEST N: NO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS ORGANIZATION (ISO) 9141 NETWORK COMMUNICATION .

If standard corporate protocol (SCP) circuits faults; all electronic control units no response/not equipped, Go To PINPOINT TEST O: NO STANDARD CORPORATE PROTOCOL (SCP) NETWORK COMMUNICATION .

If no response from the diagnostic tool, Go To PINPOINT TEST P: NO MODULE/NETWORK COMMUNICATION - NO POWER TO THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL .
