Notes On Wireless VDAS And Time/Code-Sensitive Applications

Wireless VDA devices abound (i.e., 802.11, 802.15, Bluetooth). TMC does not recommend using a VDA in any type of wireless mode for any "sensitive" application function like reprogramming or downloading of a calibration unless that ECU is capable of buffering the file, validating the integrity of that file, and then burning of that file by some type of boot loader.

An RP1210_SendCommand (RP1210_Get_Wireless_State)  has been added so that if an application has a non-recoverable action to perform, it can check whether they are in wireless mode and ask the user to reconnect with a wired connection before performing that operation.
