RP 1215 - Software Compatibility Guidelines: Overview: Notes

Software compatibility refers to the naming, location, management and use of software loaded on a Windows™ based-PC compatible computer. This document has been developed to provide a recommendation to software developers in determining the physical placement and installation of software files pertinent to their application on a host PC. The intent is to allow multiple, vehicle service related and fleet management applications and their required hardware interfaces to coexist on a single PC without unexpected functional circumstances during their execution.
