SML1 - Check SML Wire For Open

- Key OFF.

- Install Breakout Box (leave PCM disconnected).

- Measure the resistance between BOB Test Pin SML and data link connector SML terminal.

- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes -- Go to SML2. SML2 - Check SML Wire For Short

No -- Service the data link connector SML wire to PCM for opens.
