Manual Bleeding Diagonal System
- Clean any dirt from brake fluid reservoir cap. fill reservoir to MAX with DOT 3 brake fluid.
- At master cylinder, loosen one brakeline fitting and have an assistant push brake pedal slowly through its full travel. With pedal held down, tighten fitting. Repeat procedure at all brakelines. Repeat entire process to ensure all air is removed from master cylinder.
- Remove bleeder screw cap from left front caliper. Fit wrench on bleeder screw and attach hose to bleeder screw. Submerge free end of hose in container partially filled with DOT 3 brake fluid.
- Loosen bleeder screw about 3/4 turn. Have assistant push brake pedal slowly through its full travel and hold until bleeder screw is tightened. Repeat procedure until no air bubbles appear at submerged end of bleeder hose.
- Repeat previous steps at right front caliper and rear wheel cylinders in sequence. See BRAKELINE BLEEDING SEQUENCE table. After bleeding process, if pedal feels spongy, repeat bleeding procedure.
