Test L: Memory Seat Inoperative From Remote Transmitter

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Driver's Seat Module (DSM) connectors. Disconnect Smart Entry Control (SEC) timer/module. Measure resistance of Pink wire between DSM connector C2046A terminal No. 24 and SEC timer/module connector C2032B terminal No. 7. See Figure and Fig 1 . Resistance should be less than 5 ohms. Measure resistance between ground and DSM connector C2046A terminal No. 24 (Pink wire). Resistance should be greater than 10 k/ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, repair open or short to ground in Pink wire.
  2. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and DSM connector C2046A terminal No. 24 (Pink wire). If any voltage is present, repair short to voltage in Pink wire. If no voltage is present, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Reconnect DSM connector. Install a known-good SEC timer/module. Press memory set switch buttons No. 1 and 2 at same time. Using remote transmitter, press unlock button. If memory mirror moves, install NEW SEC timer/module. If memory mirror does not move, replace DSM.
