Test E: Speed Control Set Indicator Is Always On
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect speed control actuator module 24-pin harness connector. Speed control actuator module is located behind lower center of instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If SET indicator illuminates, go to next step. If SET indicator does not illuminate, replace speed control actuator module.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster 12-pin harness connector C266a. Measure resistance between ground and speed control actuator module harness connector terminal No. 18 (Yellow wire). See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Yellow wire between speed control actuator module and instrument cluster. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, replace instrument cluster.
