Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the 4 transaxle roll restrictor brace bolts.
    • To install, clean the bolts using a wire brush, apply new threadlock to the threads and tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
  3. Remove the bolt and the transaxle roll restrictor brace.
    • To install, clean the bolts using a wire brush, apply new threadlock to the threads and tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
  4. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module-to-EGR system module tube fitting.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  5. Disconnect the EGR system module tube-to-RH exhaust manifold fitting and remove the tube.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
