Component Testing Procedure

POWER WINDOW SWITCH, LH SIDE FRONT COMPONENT TESTING

Circuit to test Connect self-powered test light or ohmmeter to terminals Move switch to these positions A good switch will indicate
One-Touch Down Switch  4 and 6 Auto Down Closed circuit
Neutral Open circuit
Left front window circuit  4 and 7 Up Closed circuit
4 and 6 Down Closed circuit
Right front window circuit  8 and 3 Up Closed circuit
8 and 2 Down Closed circuit
Circuit to test Connect self-powered test light or ohmmeter to terminals Move switch to these positions A good switch will indicate
Power and Ground Checks Before Any Other Tests  8 (C508a) and 6 (C508a)
2 (C508a) and 6 (C508a)
All switches, all positions Open circuit
6 (C508a) and 1, 3, 5, 7 (508a)
6 (C508a) and 1, 3, 5, 7 (508b)
All switches, at rest Closed circuit
Left front window circuit  8 (508a) and 7 (508a) Up Closed circuit
8 (508a) and 3 (508a) Down Closed circuit
Right front window circuit  2 (508a) and 1 (508a) Up Closed circuit
2 (508a) and 5 (508a) Down Closed circuit
Left rear window circuit  8 (508a) and 1 (508b) Up Closed circuit
8 (508a) and 4 (508b) Down Closed circuit
Right rear window circuit  8 (508a) and 6 (508b) Up Closed circuit
8 (508a) and 3 (508b) Down Closed circuit
One-Touch Down Switch  8 (508a) and 4 (508a) One-Touch Down Switch Closed circuit
