Removal And Installation

NOTE: Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) reprogramming is only necessary if a new module is being installed.
  1. Verify the current APIM software and hardware level. For additional information, refer to APIM reprogramming in MODULE CONFIGURATION article.
  2. Remove the 4 screws and the front floor console storage bin door.
  3. Remove the floor shifter trim ring by pulling straight up to disengage the clips.
  4. Remove the front floor console center finish panel by pulling straight up to disengage the clips.
  5. Remove the 8 screws and the front floor console storage bin.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  6. Remove the 4 screws and the APIM.
    • Disconnect the APIM electrical connector.
    • Disconnect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
