Removal & Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
  2. Disconnect the catalyst monitor sensor electrical connectors.
  3. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the catalyst monitor sensor with penetrating and lock lubricant to aid in removal.
  4. Using the special tool, remove the LH or RH catalyst monitor sensor as necessary.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the catalyst monitor sensor.
