Removal & Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
Disconnect the catalyst monitor sensor electrical connectors.

NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the catalyst monitor sensor with penetrating and lock lubricant to aid in removal.

Using the special tool, remove the LH or RH catalyst monitor sensor as necessary.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the catalyst monitor sensor.
