Copies of the customer notification letter and Q & A are attached.
To minimize customer's inconvenience caused by this Service Action, you may pick up (and deliver after repair) from the customer's home, or provide appropriate alternative transportation.
Customers will be impressed when you return their vehicles cleaned inside and out and with a full tank of gas. Reimbursement information for the vehicle fueling and valet costs can be found in the Warranty section of this bulletin.

Dear (First Name),
Here at MINI, we are completely committed to our MINI owners by delivering the ultimate in product and service satisfaction. Our interest in your vehicle doesn't stop with the sale, it continues throughout the vehicle's warranty period and beyond.
MINI division's quality monitoring has revealed that the convertible top module in your vehicle has been coded incorrectly. This results in increased battery power consumption while the vehicle is switched off. Consequently, the battery may go dead while the vehicle is parked and unused for a period of time and then, it would not be possible to start the vehicle.
To ensure that your vehicle remains in perfect operating condition, we would like to recode the convertible top module, check the battery and, if necessary, replace the battery.
Please contact your MINI dealer's Service Department to arrange for an appointment to have this work performed on your vehicle.
Should you have any questions about this matter, please contact your Authorized MINI Dealer.
Please be assured that we at MINI are totally committed to the highest standards of product quality and ownership experience.
