61 13 ... Removing And Installing/Replacing Distribution Box/Battery Positive Terminal (Luggage Compartment) Armour Plating (Security)

Observe SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS for handling vehicle battery.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM ON SIDE PANEL ON RIGHT
Remove DEVICE HOLDER
Disconnect battery negative lead

Release screws (1), remove armour plating for distribution box (2).

Check insulation (1), inner side, of distribution box armour plating for damage. Danger of short circuits.

Release battery retaining bracket (1), remove armour plating for positive terminal (2) upwards.

Check insulation (1), inner side, of positive terminal armour plating for damage. Danger of short circuits.

If necessary, replace damping strip (1) for positive terminal armour plating.
