In the MINI, the display and operating concept has been adopted from BMW vehicles. This means that the leading operating system in vehicles is also available in this class of vehicle (UKL1+) for the first time. At the same time, a clear brand-typical differentiation with regard to BMW has been achieved.

The headunit for the Central Information Display can be:

• Car Communication Computer (CCC)
• 2nd generation Central Headunit and Multimedia Platform (CHAMP)

The CHAMP of the 2nd generation is functionally identical to the basic version of the Car Information Computer (CIC). The differences compared to the High Version of the CIC are:

• No entertainment server
• Navigation system with fewer functions
• No hard disk, so with memory card
