Brief component description: Microphone

The hands-free microphone is installed in the roof function center or in the roofliner on the driver's side beside the sun visor. The microphone is used for hands-free mode when making phone calls, and for voice input to the Active Voice Recognition system.

The microphone operates with full duplex transmission. This means that the audio frequency signals are activated for both parties. It is possible to speak and listen during the same call.
