Lin Bus: Notes

The LIN bus is a sub-bus and means: Local interconnect network bus. The local interconnect network bus (LIN bus) is a serial, single-wire bus, standardized for the automotive industry. The local interconnect network bus (LIN bus) is mainly used in a master and slave combination. The LIN bus is used for a fast and secure communication between the master control unit and slave.

In the new vehicle electrical systems, the use of the LIN bus system is heavily extended.
