13 62 660 Replacing Left Or Right Ionic Current Control Unit (S85)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
- Switch off ignition
- Remove left intake filter housing , RIGHT INTAKE FILTER HOUSING) .
NOTE:
Illustration shows and description refers to the left ionic current control unit. The procedure is identical for the right ionic current control unit.
Unfasten screws.
Remove cover (1).
Release plug connector (1) and pull off.
Unfasten screws.
Remove ionic current control unit (2).
NOTE:
Now clear the fault memory.
