Rear (E39)

- Unfasten screws and remove trim. See Fig 1.
- Before adjusting, replace disk collar nut (1) and ensure eccentric washer (2) is correctly located. See Fig 2. Tighten disk collar nut to specification. See E39 under TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
- Unfasten disk collar nut 1/2 to 1 complete turn.
- Adjust toe-in using the eccentric screw. See Fig 3. Adjust precisely to specification. See E39 under WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS.
- Ensure that eccentric washer (2) is correctly located. See Fig 2. Tighten down disk collar nut (1) to specification. See E39 under TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
CAUTION:
If the disk collar nut is tightened down more than 10 times during adjustment, it must be replaced. The self-locking effect becomes too slight.
