MINI Maintenance Program: Remote Control/Key Battery Replacement

MINI vehicles with option code 322 (Comfort Access system) are delivered with two remote controls/keys containing replaceable batteries.

Remote control battery replacement for model year 2013 and newer vehicles is covered under the MINI Maintenance Program.

Replace both remote batteries when performing the applicable maintenance service listed below:

Brake fluid service: This applies to vehicles produced up to July 1, 2013, and all JCW Models
or
Every second engine oil service (Service Counter 2, 4, 6, etc.): This applies to vehicles produced from July 1, 2013, excluding JCW Models

Stand-Alone Repairs: If a remote control battery fails before the applicable maintenance service is performed, this replacement can also be claimed.

NOTE: Please refer to SI M66 01 12 for more information on inoperative remote controls/keys.
