Toe-In Adjustment: Front

NOTE: The camber must be adjusted first. See CAMBER ADJUSTMENT .
  1. Move steering gear and wheels to straight ahead position. Markings on cap (1) and on housing (2) must match up on steering gear. See Fig 1.
  2. Loosen clamping nut (1) on tie rod. Adjust wheel toe-in by turning tie rod axial joint at hexagon head (2). See Fig 2. Adjust to specification. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Make sure steering sleeve is not twisted. Grip tie rod and tighten down lock nut (1) to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
