Necessary preliminary work
- Remove hood hinge. See REMOVING LEFT HINGE or REMOVING LEFT OR RIGHT HINGE (ACTIVE PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION) .
Open and close hinge (1).
Visual inspection for damage.
