Throttle Position Sensor

  1. Disconnect electrical connector from sensor. Connect ohmmeter leads between terminals 1 and 3. When throttle valve is slowly operated from idle to wide open throttle, resistance value should change smoothly.
  2. Total resistance measured at terminals 1 and 3 of sensor should be 4000-6000 ohms. If not, replace sensor and repeat ECI check.
