Pressure Test
- Disconnect fuel pump harness connector. Start engine and after it stops by itself, turn ignition off. Disconnect battery terminal. Connect fuel pump harness connector. Disconnect fuel high pressure hose from injection mixer.
- Connect fuel pressure gauge to Adapter (MD998700), using an "O" ring or gasket between gauge and tool to prevent fuel leaks. Install adapter with fuel pressure gauge on injection mixer. Insert fuel high pressure hose into adapter and tighten securely with attached adapter screws.
- Connect battery negative terminal. Apply battery voltage to the fuel pump terminal to operate the fuel pump so that fuel pressure will act. In this state, make sure fuel pressure gauge and adapter connection present no fuel leaks. Measure the fuel pressure when engine is running at idle. Pressure should be 35-38 psi (2.46-2.67 kg/cm2 ).
