Mixture Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

FBSV And SCSV Locations:

To test the Feedback Solenoid Valve, located in the float bowl of the carburetor, proceed as follows.


1. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (connector M21, refer to ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC DIAGRAMS).

Connector M21:

2. Test for resistance between terminals 1 and 3.
Standard Value
38-44 ohm @ 20°C (68°F)

3. If the solenoid valve's resistance is out of the standard value limits replace the solenoid. Refer to FUEL SYSTEMS for replacement procedures.
