Power Steering Switch

Power Steering Oil Pressure Switch Location:

To test the Power Steering Switch remove the connector and test the terminal for ground with a continuity tester (ohm meter). With the engine running and the power steering under a load (steering wheel being turned from stop to stop) there should be a ground, with no load (steering wheel centered and stationary) there should be no ground.

HARNESS TEST
1. Disconnect the power steering pressure sensor connector and Turn on the ignition.

2. Using a voltmeter, measure the power supply voltage between the sensor connector terminal and ground.

Voltage: System Voltage.

5. If any of the previous tests produce unsatisfactory results, the harness will need to be checked for shorts or open circuits before replacing any components.
