Control Unit
Engine control unit monitors information received from input devices and controls output devices to maintain optimum engine performance and reduce exhaust emissions. Feedback carburetor models are not equipped with self-diagnostic capability or CHECK ENGINE light.
NOTE:
Components are grouped into 2 categories. The first category covers INPUT DEVICES, which control or produce voltage signals monitored by the ECU. The second category covers OUTPUT SIGNALS, which are components controlled by the ECU.
