Without Using Scan Tester
- Turn ignition on and depress brake pedal within 3 seconds and release. Continue to depress and release brake pedal once per second for 9 more cycles.
- If trouble codes are stored in ECU memory, ABS indicator light will begin to flash intermittently. Long flashes represent tens; short flashes represent ones. For example, 4 long flashes and 3 short flashes indicate Code 43. If 2 or more codes are stored, lowest number will be displayed first.
- After recording trouble code(s), perform necessary testing. See DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. If no codes are stored, ABS indicator light will flash constantly.
