Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Description and Operation

PURPOSE/OPERATION
The engine coolant temperature sensor, on the thermostat case, is a thermister. The warm-up state of the engine is judged from the output Voltage. When the engine is cold the amount of fuel injection, idle speed and the ignition timing are controlled to compensate.
