July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Shift Lock System

  1. Turn ignition switch to ACC position. Release brake pedal and push selector lever button. Ensure selector lever cannot be moved from "P" position. With ignition switch in ACC position, depress brake pedal and push selector lever button. Ensure selector lever can be moved from "P" position.
  2. With selector lever in "R" position and ignition switch in ACC position, release brake pedal and push selector lever button. Ensure selector lever can be moved from "R" position to "P" position. If shift lock system operation is not as specified, adjust shift lock cable. See SHIFT LOCK CABLE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
