Throttle Position Sensor: Description and Operation

- A compact, light-weight throttle position sensor with excellent vibration resistance has been used.
- Due to the implementation of control logic using throttle position sensor signals, the closed throttle position switch has been removed.

The engine control module (ECM) and powertrain control module (PCM) use throttle position sensor signals to detect idle position and output this to systems that require an closed throttle position switch signal.
