Fuel Tank Temperature Sensor Check

  1. Remove the second seat assembly (Refer to SECOND SEAT ASSEMBLY ), and turn up the floor carpet.
  2. Remove the floor inspection lid (LH).

  3. Disconnect the fuel pump module connector.

  4. Measure the resistance between connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3 of the fuel pump module (incorporating fuel tank temperature sensor).

    Standard value: 0.43 - 12. 3 kΩ [at -10 - 70° C (14 - 158° F)] 

  5. If not within the standard value, replace the fuel level sensor and fuel tank temperature sensor (Refer to >> C << FUEL PUMP MODULE/FUEL TANK SUCTION HOSE CONNECTION INSTALLATION  ).
  6. Connect the fuel pump module connector.
  7. Install the inspection lid.
  8. Return the floor carpet to the original condition and install the second seat assembly (Refer to SECOND SEAT ASSEMBLY ).
