Transaxle Fluid Level Inspection
- As shown in the figure below, create an L-shaped fluid level inspection tool.
- Raise the vehicle.
- Remove the bolts and clips, and remove the engine compartment under cover front B
- Remove the filler plug and gasket.
- Insert the fluid level inspection tool into the filler plug hole and inspect to see if any fluid gets on the end of the tool.NOTE: The fluid level is lower than the lower edge of the filler plug hole.
- Check that the fluid is not excessively foul and has moderate viscosity.
- If no fluid gets onto the end of the tool and there is not enough fluid, refill the fluid.
Refer to On-vehicle Service, Replacement of the Transaxle Fluid (Refer to TRANSAXLE FLUID CHANGE ).
- Install the filler plug and new gasket, and tighten to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 32 ± 2 N.m (24 ± 1 ft-lb)
