Throttle Valve Switch Test (Code 23)
- Disconnect the 20-pin connector and measure the resistance between 29 and 30. See Figure . With switch released, there should be no resistance. With switch depressed, resistance should be infinity.
- If no good, measure resistance between 29 and 30 on switch connector. See Figure . Resistance should be zero. If okay, go to step 3). If no good, adjust idle switch. If still no good, replace throttle valve switch.
- Measure resistance between 29 and 30 on switch connector and body ground. Resistance should be infinity. If okay, check and repair harness if necessary. If harness is okay, replace control unit. If resistance is not okay, replace the throttle valve switch.
