July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Closed Throttle Position Switch System Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect and inspect closed throttle position switch harness connector for pushed-out, bent, damaged or corroded terminals. Repair connector as necessary. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between Pink wire and ground. Battery voltage should be present. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair harness or connector as necessary.
  2. Turn ignition off. Check continuity between Blue/Yellow wire and ground. Continuity should exist. If continuity does not exist, repair harness or connector as necessary. If continuity exists, check closed throttle position switch for proper installation. See SPECIFICATIONS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. If switch is installed properly, test switch. See CLOSED THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH TEST under ENGINE SENSORS & SWITCHES. If switch is okay, inspect ECM harness connector for pushed-out, bent, damaged or corroded terminals. Repair connector as necessary.
