Check Door Switch

  1. CHECK DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL 

    With CONSULT-II 

    Check door switches ("DOOR SW-DR  " and "DOOR SW-AS  ") in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-II.

    MONITOR ITEM CONDITION

    Monitor item Condition
    DOOR SW-DR  CLOSE --> OPEN OFF --> ON
    DOOR SW-AS

    Without CONSULT-II 

    Check voltage between BCM connectors B4 (driver side), M1 (passenger side) terminals 62, 12 and ground.

    TERMINALS VOLTAGE REFERENCE

    Passenger side door switch M1 12 (P) OPEN 0

    OK or NG 

    OK: Door switch circuit is OK.

    NG: GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK DOOR SWITCH CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect door switch and BCM connector.
    3. Check continuity between door switch connector B17 (driver side), B410 (passenger side) terminals 1 and BCM connector B4, M1 terminals 62, 12.

      Driver side door 

      1 (G/B) - 62 (Y): Continuity should exist  .

      Passenger side door 

      1 (P) - 12 (P): Continuity should exist  .

    4. Check continuity between door switch connector B17 (driver side), B410 (passenger side) terminals 1 and ground.

      1 (G/B or P) - Ground: Continuity should not exist  .

    OK or NG 

    OK: GO TO 3.

    NG: Repair or replace harness.

  3. CHECK DOOR SWITCH 

    Check continuity between door switch B17 (driver side) or B410 (passenger side) terminal 1 and ground part of door switch.

    TERMINALS CONTINUITY REFERENCE

    Terminal Door switch Continuity
    1 Ground part of door switch Pushed No
    Released Yes

    OK or NG 

    OK: GO TO 4.

    NG: Replace door switch.

  4. CHECK DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL 
    1. Connect BCM connector.
    2. Check voltage between BCM connectors B4 (driver side), M1 (passenger side) terminals 62, 12 and ground.

    OK or NG 

    OK: Check harness connection.

    NG: Replace BCM.
