Intermittent Codes Using Consult Tester

  1. Turn ignition off. Connect CONSULT tester to Data Link Connector (DLC) located above fuse block under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Press START button on CONSULT tester. Select AIR BAG. Select SELF-DIAG (PAST).
  2. If any problems are present, message will be displayed in SELF-DIAG (PAST) mode. Go to INTERMITTENT FAULT MESSAGES  . To print messages, press PRINT button. Press BACK button until SELECT SYSTEM appears. Turn off CONSULT. Turn ignition off and disconnect CONSULT and both battery cables. After repair is completed, codes must be cleared. See CLEARING CODES  .
