Check IPDM E/R Operation

CHECK IPDM E/R OPERATION
With CONSULT-II

Check IPDM E/R "HORN" in "ACTIVE TEST" mode with CONSULT-II.

When "ACTIVE TEST" is performed, does horn chirp?

YES or NO
1. YES: IPDM E/R is OK.
2. NO: GO TO 2.

CHECK IPDM E/R INPUT VOLTAGE
Check voltage between IPDM E/R connector E9 terminal 51 and ground.
1. 51 (G/B) - Ground: Battery voltage
OK or NG
1. OK: Replace IPDM E/R.
2. NG: GO TO 3.

CHECK IPDM E/R HARNESS
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect IPDM E/R and horn relay connector.
3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R connector E9 terminal 51 and horn relay connector E20 terminal 1.
  1. 51 (G/B) - 1(G/B): Continuity should exist.
OK or NG
1. OK: Check harness connection.
2. NG: Repair or replace harness.
