July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus LS 430. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check fuse. (GAUGE, MPX-B2 and DOME fuse) 
    1. NG : Replace fuse. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  2. Check voltage between terminals 12(B), 13(B), 1(IG+) and 11(ES) of combination meter connector. 

    PREPARATION: 

    1. Remove the combination meter.
    2. Disconnect the combination meter connector. CHECK:

    Measure voltage between terminals 12(B), 13(B), and 1 (IG+) of the combination meter connector and 11 (ES).

    OK: 

    Voltage: 10 - 14 V

    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. NG : Go to next step. 
  3. Check for open in harness and connector between terminal GND of combination meter and body ground (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Check and repair wire harness and connector between combination meter and battery.
