System Description (2WD Models)

• All the vehicles are equipped with an drive mode select switch switches a vehicle mode among TOW, SPORT, STANDARD, ECO, and SNOW with the flick of a switch.
• The drive mode selector changes the vehicle mode of the power train, combination meter, chassis function, and driver assistant system.

CONTROL DESCRIPTION 

• The drive mode selector switches a vehicle mode with the flick of a switch (drive mode select switch) mounted on upper part of the center console and changes the control characteristics of the power train, combination meter, chassis function, driver assistant system.
• When the ignition switch is ON from the OFF state, the drive mode select switch starts in STANDARD mode regardless of drive mode during ignition switch ON.
• The vehicle characteristics are controlled from the STANDARD mode to any mode listed below:

  TOW	The mode controls the shifting points to facilitate the acceleration and deceleration while towing.
  SPORT	Adjusts the engine points for a higher response. The setting of the steering system is adjusted to moderately increase steering wheel effort for a sporty feel.
  ECO	Assists the driver's eco-driving. The engine points are adjusted for improved fuel economy, providing such a driving features as smooth starting or constant cruising.
  SNOW	This mode makes it easier to start and run from snowy roads and frozen roads.
