No. Component Function
1. BCM (Body Control Module) Mainly transmits the following signals to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication:
  • Stop lamp switch signal
  • Brake pedal position switch signal
  • Cranking signal
  • Power switch ON signal

2. Brake Fluid Level Switch The brake fluid level switch is located on the left side of the master cylinder reservoir. Detects the brake fluid level in reservoir tank and transmits converted electric signal from combination meter to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication, when brake fluid level is the specified level or less. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
3. Electrically-driven Intelligent brake unit Mainly transmits the following signals to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication:
  • Electrically driven intelligent brake control signal
  • Brake warning lamp request signal
  • Brake system warning lamp request signal

4. Parking Brake Switch Detects the operation status of parking brake switch and transmits converted electric signal from combination meter to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
5. Combination meter Mainly transmits the following signals to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication:
  • Parking brake switch signal
  • Brake fluid level switch signal

Mainly receives the following signals to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication:
  • ABS warning lamp signal
  • Brake system warning lamp signal
  • Brake warning lamp signal
  • VDC warning lamp signal
  • VDC OFF indicator lamp signal

6. Steering angle sensor Refer to Component Description .
7. Chassis control module Mainly transmits the following signals to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication:
  • Intelligent trace control signal
  • Active ride control signal

Mainly receives the following signals from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication:
  • Hill start assist display request signal

Mainly transmits the following signals to combination meter via CAN communication:
  • Hill start assist display request signal

8. VCM (Vehicle Control Module) Mainly transmits the following signals to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication:
  • Accelerator pedal position signal
  • VCM control signal
  • Shift position signal

9. ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) actuator and electric unit (control unit) Refer to Component Description .
