System Description (2WD Models)
- By operating the drive mode select switch, the driving mode of TOW, SPORT, STANDARD, ECO, and SNOW can be selected.
- The drive mode selector changes the driving mode of following system.
- Power train
- Steering
- Intelligent trace control
- Brake control system
- Driver assistance system

CONTROL DESCRIPTION
- Drive mode selector switches driving mode by drive mode select switch installed on center console finisher.
- Drive mode selector starts from STANDARD mode when the ignition switch ON.
- The vehicle characteristics are controlled from the STANDARD mode to any mode listed below:
TOW The mode controls the shifting points to facilitate the acceleration and deceleration while towing. SPORT - Adjusts the engine points for a higher response.
- The setting of the steering system is adjusted to moderately increase steering wheel effort for a sporty feel.
ECO Assists the driver's eco-driving. The engine points are adjusted for improved fuel economy, providing such a driving features as smooth starting or constant cruising. SNOW This mode makes it easier to start and run from snowy roads and frozen roads. - For relationship between drive mode and each control item, refer to the following table.

ENGINE CHARACTERISTICS
- The engine output characteristics when a mode is switched with the drive mode select switch is as follows.
Drive mode select switch Engine output STANDARD Normal SNOW Accelerator opening characteristics is more passive. ECO Accelerator opening characteristics is more passive. SPORT Accelerator opening characteristics is more aggressive. TOW * Normal *: The stop/start system is not activated.
STEERING CHARACTERISTICS
- The steering characteristics when a mode is switched with the drive mode select switch is as follows.
