No. Component Function
1. Rear door switch RH (if equipped) Door switch detects door open/close condition and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. Refer to Rear Door Switch .
2. Rear door switch upper RH (if equipped) Door switch detects door open/close condition and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
3. Rear door switch lower RH (if equipped) Door switch detects door open/close condition and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
4. Inside key antenna (console) Inside key antenna (console) detects whether Intelligent Key is inside the vehicle or not, and then transmits the signal to the BCM. Refer to Inside Key Antenna (Console) .
5. Front door switch RH Door switch detects door open/close condition and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. Refer to Front Door Switch .
6. Power window and door lock/unlock switch RH Door lock and unlock switch transmits door lock/unlock operation signal to BCM. Refer to Power Window and Door Lock/Unlock Switch RH .
7. Inside key antenna (instrument center) Inside key antenna (instrument center) detects whether Intelligent Key is inside the vehicle or not, and then transmits the signal to the BCM. Refer to Inside Key Antenna (Instrument Center) .
8. Remote keyless entry receiver Remote keyless entry receiver receives button operation signal and key ID signal of Intelligent Key and then transmits them to BCM. Refer to Remote Keyless Entry Receiver .
9. Dongle unit (if equipped) Refer to Dongle Unit .
10. IPDM E/R (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room) IPDM E/R detects push-button ignition switch (push switch) status, and transmits push-button ignition switch status signal (CAN) to BCM. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
11. Hood switch (if equipped) Hood switch transmits hood open/closed signal to the IPDM E/R. Refer to Hood Switch .
12. Horns left/right IPDM E/R energizes the horns when the security system is activated.
13. BCM (Body Control Module)
  • BCM controls INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM (ENGINE START FUNCTION), NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-NATS [NVIS (NATS)] and VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM.
  • BCM performs the ID verification between BCM and Intelligent Key when the Intelligent Key is carried into the detection area of inside key antenna, and push-button ignition switch is pressed. If the ID verification result is OK, push-button ignition switch operation is available. Then, when the push-button ignition switch is pressed ON, BCM performs ID verification between BCM and ECM. If the ID verification result is OK, ECM can start engine.
Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
14. Stop lamp switch Refer to Stop Lamp Switch .
15. Combination meter
  • Combination meter transmits the vehicle speed signal to BCM via CAN communication.
  • BCM also receives the vehicle speed signal from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication. BCM compares both signals to detect the vehicle speed.
  • Security indicator lamp is located on combination meter.
  • Security indicator lamp blinks when push-button ignition switch is in any position other than ON to warn that NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-NATS [NVIS (NATS)] is on board.
Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
16. A/T shift selector (detent switch) A/T shift selector (detent switch) detects shift lever status, transmits detention switch signal to BCM. Refer to A/T Shift Selector .
17. Main power window and door lock/unlock switch
  • Door lock and unlock switch is integrated into the main power window and door lock/unlock switch.
  • Door lock and unlock switch transmits door lock/unlock operation signal to BCM.
Refer to Main Power Window and Door Lock/Unlock Switch-Except Crew Cab or Main Power Window and Door Lock/Unlock Switch-With Crew Cab .
18. Front door switch LH Front door switch LH transmits door open/closed signal to the BCM. Refer to Front Door Switch .
19. Rear door switch lower LH (if equipped) Door switch detects door open/close condition and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
20. Rear door switch upper LH (if equipped) Door switch detects door open/close condition and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
21. Rear door switch LH (if equipped) Rear door switch LH transmits door open/closed signal to the BCM. Refer to Rear Door Switch .
22. Push-button ignition switch Push-button ignition switch has push switch inside which detects that push-button ignition switch is pressed and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. BCM changes the ignition switch position with the operation of push-button ignition switch. BCM maintains the ignition switch position status while push-button ignition switch is not operated. Refer to Push-button Ignition Switch .
23. NATS antenna amp. Refer to NATS Antenna Amp.
