Charts F Through F4 Wheel Sensor Output: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1990 Cadillac Seville, 1990 Cadillac Eldorado, 1989 Cadillac Seville, and 1989 Cadillac Eldorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Chart F is to be used first when directed by another flow chart or test. This chart identifies wheel speed sensor circuits which may be demonstrating low wheel speed sensor output signals. Chart F will determine which chart (F1 to F4) will be used to further diagnose the wheel sensor output.

Wheel sensor consists of a permanent magnet and coil. Each time toothed sensor ring passes sensor, an AC current is sent to EBCM. The EBCM uses this information to calculate individual wheel speed.
