Code B667, Set/Coast Or Resume/ACCEL Circuit Shorted: Notes
Code B667 is designed to catch shorted set/coast and resume/accel switches. Code will set if any of the following conditions are met:
- Set/coast signal is high within one second of cruise on/off switch activation
- Resume/accel signal is high within one second of cruise on/off switch activation
- Set/coast signal is high within one second of ignition keying on
- Resume/accel signal is high within one second of ignition keying on
If set/coast or resume/accel switches were stuck or their signal wires to BCM were shorted to voltage, vehicle could begin cruise operation. To prevent this, Code B667 will set and disable cruise control. If conditions above are met, cruise control will be disabled until BCM sees a low on both of these circuits.
