Code E044, Oxygen Sensor Circuit (Lean Exhaust Indicated): Notes

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.

Test Number 1) Running the engine at 1000 RPM keeps O2 sensor hot, so an accurate display voltage is maintained.

Test Number 2) Opening O2 sensor wire should result in a voltage display of between 350 and 550 mV. If display is still fixed less than 350 mV, fault is a short to ground in circuit No. 412 or ECM is faulty.
