Trouble Shooting

NOTE: Try the following checks before doing the System Diagnosis.
  1. Check TRUNK REL fuse.
  2. Always check terminal contact before replacing any component.
  3. If door locks operate from transmitter, but not from the door lock switches, check continuity of door lock switches and associated wiring for an open or a short. Repair or replace as necessary.
  4. If a second transmitter is available, try it. If it works, change the batteries in the first transmitter and try again. If it still does not work transmitter is defective.
  5. Check transmitter battery terminals. They should be clean and make good contact with the battery.
  6. If in doubt as to the condition of the transmitter batteries, replace them with new ones. Measuring battery voltage with a DVOM may give misleading results.
